Our employment lawyers are experts in all aspects of labor and employment law. We provide a result-oriented defense to employers who are faced with claims of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour violations (including class actions), breach of contract, privacy, and employee mobility/trade secret disputes. We have enjoyed great success litigating on behalf of clients in state and federal trial courts, including jury and bench trials, and courts of appeal, as well as before various administrative agencies, such as the California Labor Commissioner, the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the United States Department of Labor. We also regularly handle arbitrations on behalf of employers.

A significant part of each employment lawyer's practice is also devoted to providing clients with advice and offering proactive training designed to avoid lawsuits and foster a more productive work environment. This employment counseling includes the development, drafting and review of personnel policies and handbooks, employment contracts, severance agreements, confidentiality agreements, and other employment related agreements. We offer advice concerning wage and hour issues, hiring and firing, performance-related personnel decisions, leave laws, disability accommodation, harassment investigations, reductions in force, and other general human resource practices. We provide entertaining and interactive training on diversity, management practices, and prevention of harassment in the workplace, including training that meets the requirements of California and other state mandated harassment training. We also conduct workplace investigations into allegations of harassment, discrimination and retaliation.
