Class & Representative Actions

Our attorneys represent employers and businesses in their defense of a variety of class and representative actions, in State and Federal court. These actions include, for example, wage and hour, Labor Code Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA), Unfair Competition, False Advertising, Fair Credit and Reporting Act (FCRA), and Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) claims.

Related to these actions and in view of the often significant time and costs associated with defending them, we advise and counsel clients on proactive compliance with State and Federal laws, as well as revising their practices to avoid expensive class actions and minimize potential liability. Our attorneys conduct audits on behalf of clients to review their practices and evaluate compliance levels. We also assist clients with helping educate their employees and agents on the importance of compliance, as well as how to comply with state and federal laws by drafting policies, procedures and agreements outlining compliance methods and requirements. Our attorneys also speak and present to local employer, business and general counsel groups on cutting edge topics related to class and representative actions, and wage and hour issues and compliance.
