 Traci S. LagasseTraci Lagasse is a founding member of Andrews · Lagasse · Branch & Bell LLP and specializes in the areas of construction, professional liability, toxic tort, and general litigation. Her practice focuses on the defense of architects and engineers, developers, product manufacturers, and contractors in construction defect and delay claims. She also defends real estate professionals in professional liability claims, and counsels her clients in the building owner and management industry on indoor air quality claims, risk management, avoidance of litigation, development of operation and maintenance plans, and large-scale remediation projects. Ms. Lagasse also specializes in the defense of claims premised on exposure to toxic substances, including mold, benzene, and other toxic chemicals. Ms. Lagasse has published articles in national publications such as Defense Research Institute and Harris Martin's Mold Columns on issues pertinent to mold litigation including Establishing Medical Causation in Mold Cases - An Uphill Battle for Plaintiffs; 30 States and Counting: Mold Legislation Continues to Sweep the Nation; and Mold Legislation: Easier Said Than Done. Ms. Lagasse regularly presents seminars to clients and professional organizations on a variety of subjects, including claims handling practices for Architect and Engineer claims and the unique medical, expert and liability issues involved in defending mold cases. Ms. Lagasse was named by the San Diego Daily Transcript as a Top Attorney for 2007 in Construction and Real Estate Law and, at 36, was one of the youngest attorneys to receive this honor. Ms. Lagasse is an active member of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of San Diego. In addition to being a past member of the Board of Directors, she serves as the co-chair of the Programs and Seminars Committee. Ms. Lagasse obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 1992. She received her Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1995, where she graduated with honors. Before founding Andrews · Lagasse · Branch & Bell LLP, Ms. Lagasse was a partner at Gordon & Rees LLP where she was co-chairperson of the San Diego Office's Construction Group.
