 Michael J. O'Connor, Jr.Mike O'Connor is a partner with Andrews • Lagasse • Branch & Bell LLP and has been with the firm since its inception. Mr. O'Connor's experience includes handling matters on behalf of institutional and individual clients throughout California and Nevada with regard to a variety of litigation and transactional matters. Mr. O'Connor regularly represents various businesses, including employers, as well as real estate and construction professionals, with regard to an array of business litigation, employment, real estate and construction/design-related matters. He concentrates much of his business and employment litigation practice on defending and prosecuting claims of misappropriation of confidential and/or trade secret information, breach of contract and fiduciary duties, and unfair business competition, as well as class actions. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. O'Connor was an associate at one of California's largest law firms and prior to that served as General Counsel to a privately held financial products and services company. In addition to transactional and litigation matters, Mr. O'Connor assists his clients with a variety of regulatory matters, including complying with local and national regulatory issues, negotiating and accomplishing local and national business transactions, as well as coordinating the legal aspects of clients' e-commerce, marketing and customer service programs. Mr. O'Connor earned his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, earning honors in Negotiations, Contemporary Issues: Public Policy, and Mexican Law. He represented USD at the National Entertainment Law Moot Court Competition, served as Vice President of the Sports & Entertainment Law Society, and was editor of the USD International Law Journal. Mr. O'Connor received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington, and is an avid Husky fan and supporter. Mr. O'Connor is admitted to practice law in the state and federal district courts of California and Nevada. He is a member of the ABA Forum Committee on the Sports and Entertainment Industries and the Sports Lawyers Association. He also serves on the Executive Committee for the Pacific Life Holiday Bowl.
