Kathryn K. Hoyt

Kathryn Hoyt is an associate at Andrews Lagasse Branch + Bell LLP. Ms. Hoyt represents employers in all types of labor and employment claims, including wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, and disability-related claims in state and federal courts. She also has extensive experience defending employers and their insurers in a variety of workers’ compensation claims, including serious and willful misconduct claims, and Labor Code132a discrimination claims. Ms. Hoyt also provides advice and counsel to employers on a range of employment-related issues, including hiring, promotion, discipline, termination, leaves of absence, and preparation of employment policies and procedures.

Ms. Hoyt received her J.D. in 2014 from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she was the Managing Editor for the San Diego Journal of Climate and Energy Law. Ms. Hoyt also was a member of USD’s Mock Trial Team. During law school, Ms. Hoyt worked for a boutique civil litigation firm, focusing on personal injury and business related litigation. Prior to law school, Ms. Hoyt earned her B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley in 2010.

Ms. Hoyt enjoys hiking, yoga, and playing with her dog during her free time. She is admitted to the State Bar of California and is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association.
