Jacqueline Mai Lopez

Jacqueline Lopez is an associate at Andrews • Lagasse • Branch & Bell llp and specializes in advising and representing individuals and corporations in civil litigation, including professional liability and employment claims.  Ms. Lopez’s professional liability practice focuses on the defense of architects and engineers in construction defect and delay claims.  Ms. Lopez’s employment practice focuses on defending employers in wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour matters, and employee classification issues. 

Prior to joining Andrews • Lagasse • Branch & Bell llp, Ms. Lopez represented the State of California in habeas petitions as a Deputy Attorney General.  Prior to her service in the public sector, she was an associate at one of California’s largest law firms, where she was responsible for the litigation of product liability, environmental and toxic tort cases.  She also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Stephen G. Larson, U.S. District Court Judge for the Central District of California.  Ms. Lopez earned her J.D. from Hastings College of the Law, where she received honors in Negotiation and Mediation.  Ms. Lopez earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles.      

Ms. Lopez is admitted to the State Bar of California and is licensed to practice before all California state and federal courts, including the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
