 Cary A. KinkeadCary A. Kinkead is a senior associate with Andrews • Lagasse • Branch & Bell LLP and specializes in all aspects of professional liability, employment law and general business litigation. His practice focuses on the representation of professionals in the fields of real estate, investment, design and construction, and insurance. Mr. Kinkead also represents corporate clients and their employees with respect to employment-related matters, including litigation and legal compliance in the workplace. Mr. Kinkead's clients range from small local establishments to multi-million dollar national companies. Before joining Andrews • Lagasse • Branch & Bell llp, Mr. Kinkead was a partner at Harrison Patterson O'Connor & Kinkead, LLP where he represented a multitude of private clients in professional, employment and business related matters. Prior to that, Mr. Kinkead developed his legal practice at one of San Diego's most prominent large firms. Mr. Kinkead has significant experience litigating cases through trial as well as arbitration. His experience includes securing trial verdicts in favor of two employers involving claims of wrongful termination and wage and hour violations; a favorable arbitration award in a franchise-related dispute; a complete defense for corporate client involving product liability and environmental regulatory claims and alleged damages in excess of $10 million; successful prosecution of a business dispute claim involving misappropriation of trade secrets and unfair competition; and a complete defense for an insurance broker client involving claims of fraud and negligence. Mr. Kinkead obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1997 from Santa Clara University, where he was a proud member of the baseball team. Mr. Kinkead earned his law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law and was a member of both the legal honors society and environmental law society. Mr. Kinkead is admitted to practice before all California State Courts as well as the United States District Court (Southern and Central Districts). He currently serves as a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, and the Surfrider Foundation.
